Summer Solstice and National Indigenous People's Day is a time to celebrate the longest day of the year and the beginning of Summer and the culture of the First Nations People. On June 21st we invite you to celebrate the heritage of the Okanagan Syilx people with our special guest, Krystal Lezard, who will lead us through knowledge and sharing with a brief talk about the culture of her people followed by a sage bundle making workshop.

Dring the workshop guests will learn the history and importance of sage and smudging, taking home a bundle which you'll hand make with sage harvested by Krystal. After working up a snack sized appetite, Chef Andrea Callan of the Red Fox Club will teach us how to make bannock, a traditional food of the First Natons people, before we close the evening with a friendship dance led by Krystal.

Guests are welcomed and encouraged to finish the evening in the wine shop for a complimentary wine tasting and if you wish to incudlge in a late dinner at the Red Fox Club, please do so by making a reservation. You can call or email Tracey at the Red Fox Club. 778-755-6360 or dine@redfoxclub.ca

We look forward to celebrating with you!
